Volunteers have been an integral part of the Farm Sanctuary team since we began back in 1986, and are key contributors to our success. Your action can help to improve the lives of farm animals and help us to carry out our mission of protecting farm animals from cruelty and shifting toward a more just, sustainable, and compassionate food system where all lives are respected and free from harm.
From our sanctuaries in Watkins Glen, NY and Acton, CA, we offer a variety of volunteer opportunities including farm tasks and support, and providing onsite support of our Sanctuary Experience program tours and public events. Individuals with an interest in volunteering professional skills (e.g. carpentry, accounting, landscaping, etc) are also encouraged to apply. Opportunities vary depending on the time of year and the needs and capacity of our teams.
